The Bolton Lions Club’s Jack Shapiro presents the 2009 McRell Math Award to Sean Hoffman at the Florence Sawyer School 8th Grade graduation. The award is given to the most improved math student and is named for Stanley W. McRell who taught math and science to 7th and 8th graders at Emerson School in the 50s and 60s and felt it was his responsibility to help students realize their potential.
