Emily Bond is presented with a certificate during the November Golden Eagle Awards Ceremony to honor her as the winner of the Florence Sawyer School Peace Poster Contest. The contest was sponsored by the Bolton Lions Club as part of the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. The theme of this year’s competition is Peace Begins With Me. Emily said, “In order to bring peace to other people and the world, we must first find peace within ourselves.” Her poster advances to the Lions Club District-level judging, and if successful there, will move on to become a finalist in the international judging.
